Part Time Teller

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Teller Supervisor is responsible for conducting financial transactions between customers and the Bank; handle routine customer inquiries and problems and maintain excellent customer relations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for balancing cash drawer daily and maintain adequate working funds.
2. Responsible for receiving and processing all types of teller transactions. Perform these daily in a professional, timely, accurate and efficient manner. (i.e. Receive and process checking and savings accounts, receive and process commercial and individual deposit and withdrawal requests; credit card transactions; issue and receive payments for various checks (travelers checks, cashiers checks and money orders); receive and process loan payments, daily mail transactions; sell license stickers, redeem savings bonds and process night depository items.
3. Responsible for counting, rolling and bagging coin.       Requires lifting and carrying approximately 25 pounds or more.
4. Keep current on First Southern Bank systems, procedures and policies.
5. Attend scheduled teller meetings.
6. Knows, understands and complies with security policies and procedures for protection of the customers, employees and Bank.
7. Ensures that teller station is properly stocked with supplies.
8. Ability to travel to other Bank locations and seminars as requested.
9. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

High School diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication skills

Previous cash handling or retail experience preferred
