Credit Analyst

This position is under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Credit Administration and is responsible for the evaluation of the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit. This individual will analyze financial statements and complete ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis of statements on new, renewing and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, and other financial institutions and financial institution files. Prepare spread sheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial institutions officers along with maintaining financial statement and tax return tickler system. Provide ongoing monitoring of credit exposure by preparing annual reviews of commercial credits.

Skills required

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Minimum two years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (extensive experience with Excel)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent knowledge of accounting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow preparation and analysis
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to interpret trade line credit bureau data
• Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
